Lisa Hirschhorn, MD MPH is Professor of Medical Social Science and Director for the Ryan Family Center for Global Primary Care at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Trained in medicine and HIV and QI, Dr Hirschhorn is an expert in implementation research and improvement science and patient centered outcome research, actively applying these methods to improve the quality and equity of care in resource limited settings including non-communicable diseases, maternal, neonatal and child health, HIV and primary care. She collaborates with teams in countries in Africa Latin America and Asia in research and implementation working to improve access, quality and equity of care across the lifespan. She also leads work to increase research capacity in implementation research, patient-centered outcomes research and quality improvement through multiple grants and individual mentorship and serves on advisory boards to provide insights into quality and change

Nidhi Swarup is the Founder and President of the Crohn’s & Colitis Society of Singapore (CCSS) since 2012. The charity focuses on patient education, public awareness, patient support group and promotes research into Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and related inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). She has facilitated the formation of IBD Patient Support Groups in Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, and India. She has been interviewed by leading Newspapers, TV, and Radio channels. She is the anchor for the CCSS Podcast: ‘Life Takes Guts’ with Nidhi Swarup’. As the President of the Rotary Club of Raffles City 2016-17 she raised S$160,000 to invite experts in Chromoendoscopy from USA to train about 100 Gastroenterologists from nine countries of the Asia Pacific Region. From January 2021 to June 2023, Nidhi was appointed to the Fee Benchmarks Advisory Committee, Ministry of Health. She is currently the Global Partnership Lead, SingHealth Patient Advocacy Network (SPAN). An established Healthcare Thought Leader, she launched Nidhi-Kintsugi Pte Ltd in April 2021 and has been representing the Patient Voice as a panelist, speaker, and moderator at various local, regional, and global conferences, as well as seminars. Nidhi has two Master’s Degrees: one in Operations Research and the other in Finance. Jeremy Veillard is a Lead Health Specialist in the Latin America and Caribbean Region of the Health, Nutrition and Population Global Practice at the World Bank. Jeremy is a former healthcare executive in Canada and France, with deep expertise in quality of care, service delivery performance and health systems research and analytics. Jeremy has a PhD in public health (health systems research) from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands and a masters in hospital administration from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Santé Publique, France. Jeremy is an Associate Professor (status only) at the Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto, Canada, where he teaches a graduate course on global quality of care. Jeremy has published extensively on global quality of care and has led several high-profile financing projects on quality of care at the World Bank

Prof. Ungan is the immediate past President of the WONCA Europe. He has been an active Professor at Ankara University School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine since 2011. Also Past President of the European General Practice Research Network (EGPRN). Prof Ungan graduated from Istanbul University (1987). Completed Postgraduate specialization and defended the thesis for Family Medicine in 1993. Is a founder and former President of the Turkish Association of Family Physicians, and a member of the Academic Board of FM in Turkey. Certified as GP Trainer in University of Exeter Postgraduate Medical School, UK (1993), worked in Essen/Germany in internal medicine clinics and certified for GI endoscopy procedure. Worked as Deputy Medical Director of the METU University for 18 years, was an advisor of the Ministry on FM/GP. Working in editorial boards of many PC journals. Involved in organizing the WONCA Europe and its network Conferences in Turkey in 2003, 2008, and 2015. Acting as Scientific Committee Chair for 2026 World WONCA Conference held in Lisbon. Founder of the practices in Ankara in 1999, in Istanbul since 2013. Trained in Global TB Institute, Newark- NY, in Bangkok, and also in Atlanta by CDC. Currently is a board member of IPPA and an expert in WHO Europe on Primary care. His research publications are in the field of Primary Care, Family Practice (GP), screening, and migrant health. He represents Family Physicians/GPs of Europe in the European Cancer Organization and leads the European Project packages. He is also a member of the European Medicines Agency's health care providers commission. In addition to books and book chapters of more than 100 printed articles cited, he has a preferred place in the professor assignment in international juries of academic positions in foreign universities as well as national inter-universities commission duties.

Morten Sodemann is a trained medical doctor from Aarhus University (1989) and a specialist in infectious diseases. His PhD thesis in 1996 dealt with the treatment of serious infections among children in Guinea-Bissau, West Africa. He is a senior consultant in infectious diseases in the Department of Infectious Diseases at Odense University Hospital (OUH), Denmark, with a focus on malaria, diarrhoea and other frequent infections and their influence on public health in Africa. He is also a professor of global and migrant health at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and the director of the Migrant Health outpatient clinic at OUH, which he founded in 2008. He is vice chairman of the Danish Society for Migrant Health and chairman of Globalhealthminders thinknet. Morten Sodemann has broad experience as a teacher and research supervisor. He is involved in postdoc training in cross-disciplinary clinical skills and has established a migrant health curriculum at the medical school of SDU.

Arda Karapinar (a.k.a Minas Panosian, Panosian) is a global HIV treatment activist, community writer, and founder of Red Ribbon Istanbul Association, Türkiye's leading HIV-focused civil society organization/information provider. He represents the HIV Community in the media and international meetings/congresses/conferences. Also, he writes regularly on HIV science and treatment updates for Türkiye's most visited HIV theme website www.hivhakkindahersey.org. Arda, who has been an actor for many years and active in politics for a while, has been engaged in activism, with HIV at its center, for about 15 years. He continues his work not only in Türkiye but also in different regions and countries of the world depending on the project periods, hoping to make a high contribution to a healthy social debate on HIV and to change the narrative. During this time, Arda designed and wrote a book on HIV with famous writers, made television and radio programs and tried to raise awareness by talking openly about HIV in a region where HIV is taboo. As one of the successful examples of activism in Türkiye in 2019, Arda also made a speech at an event held at the European Parliament. In 2022, Arda took part in the scientific committee of HIV Glasgow, and since 2021, he has been organizing a community conference called "HIV Istanbul, "covering Türkiye and the MENA and EECA regions he interacts with. Arda, who is currently working as a volunteer chairperson at Red Ribbon Istanbul and a member of the Undetectable=Untransmittable (U=U) Global Community Board at the New York-based Prevention Access Campaign, continues to serve on the Scientific Board of HIV Glasgow 2024, one of the well respected conferences in the field of HIV.

Jonathan B. Perlin, MD, PhD became the seventh President and CEO of The Joint Commission Enterprise on March 1, 2022. The Joint Commission Enterprise includes The Joint Commission, Joint Commission Resources (JCR), Joint Commission International (JCI) and the National Quality Forum (NQF). Previously, as President, Clinical Operations and Chief Medical Officer, HCA Healthcare, Dr. Perlin led clinicians, data scientists and researchers in developing a learning health system model for improving care at the system’s 189 hospitals and 2,200 other locations. His team’s work achieved national recognition for preventing elective pre-term deliveries, reducing maternal mortality, using artificial intelligence to improve sepsis survival, and developing public-private-academic partnerships for improving infection prevention and treating COVID-19. Dr. Perlin’s CHARGE consortium partnered HCA, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and academia to create a reusable platform for accelerated research using real-world evidence from the care of over 400,000 COVID inpatients. Before HCA, Dr. Perlin was Under Secretary for Health in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), where he led the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) to national prominence for full implementation of a national electronic health record and benchmark clinical performance. He has served on numerous Federal Commissions including as a Congressional Budget Office Health Advisor, a member of MedPAC (Medicare Payment Advisory Commission), and as chair of the VA Special Medical Advisory Group. An elected member of the National Academy of Medicine (NAM), he has co-chaired NAM action collaboratives on digital health, combatting opioids and climate change. Dr. Perlin’s board service includes Columbia University’s Health Policy and Management program, Vanderbilt University’s School of Engineering, and he served as a Trustee of Meharry Medical College for 15 years. Perennially recognized as one of the most influential leaders in healthcare, Dr. Perlin maintains faculty appointments at Vanderbilt University as a Clinical Professor of Medicine and at Virginia Commonwealth University as an Adjunct Professor of Health Administration

PhD, MHPol, BAppSc, MAppSc. Yvonne Zurynski is Professor of Health System Sustainability at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. She leads the Health System Sustainability Stream in the Centre for Health Resilience and Implementation Science. Her research is focussed on the implementation of new models of integrated care and learning health systems. As a mixed methods researcher, implementation scientist, epidemiologist, and policy analyst, her work is highly transdisciplinary. With an interest in health workforce capacity and resilience she works collaboratively with health consumers, clinicians, health system planners and policy makers to make change in the complex and varied contexts of our health system. She has published over 140 peer reviewed papers, 5 book chapters and is co-editor of the Routledge Handbook of Climate Change and Health System Sustainability.
