Learning Health Systems: The next generation of thinking

In this workshop, we will explore Learning Health Systems, building on last year's workshop at the ISQua 39th conference in Seoul, Korea. We will be analysing a leading Learning Health System, the MAYO clinic in the United States of America, examining their progress in becoming a Learning Health System. Multiple other international experts, from as wide afield as Australia, India, the Netherlands, the United States and Ireland will add commentary and illuminate the MAYO clinic case example from multiple perspectives.

Jeffrey Braithwaite
Professor Braithwaite is a leading health services and systems researcher with an international reputation for his work investigating and contributing to systems improvement. He has extensive expertise in researching acute settings, leadership, management and change, quality and safety, standards and accreditation, health sector reform and the restructuring of health services. His most recent work looks at the future of healthcare to 2030, learning health systems, applying implementation science to healthcare problems, and health systems’ capacity to cope with climate change. He has published over 700 refereed journal articles, 15 books and presented at conferences on over 2,000 occasions.
