The Biobank Resource Centre Education Courses

The Biobank Resource Centre (BRC) develops and delivers educational, operational, and research tools to researchers and biobankers who collect, store, or study human biospecimens. The BRC’s goal is to enhance the quality and reproducibility of biospecimen research by promoting biobank certification, education, and adoption of best practice standards globally. Visit their website at www.biobanking.org to find more information about products and services available to those working in the diverse field of biospecimen research and biobanking.

Biospecimen Research Methods is an online course offered 3 times a year by the University of British Columbia (UBC) in partnership with www.edx.org. This 6-week, self-paced course has been designed to be flexible with any schedule. Biospecimen Research Methods was designed for researchers at any level, including graduate and undergraduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and research technicians, who plan to collect, process and store human biospecimens for research. Learners can earn a UBCx Professional Education Certificate by completing this course. The next course starts February 5, 2019.
