was the first President of the International Society for Quality Assurance in Health Care (ISQA) which was a precursor to the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) of which Peter was also a founding member. He was also Foundation Editor of the International Journal for Quality in Health Care.
Each year Peter's contributions to the Society are celebrated through the Reizenstein Award. The Award recognizes the work of the authors who submit papers to Journal. The Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editors and Editorial Committee review the papers published each year and select the best paper based on the following criteria:
• Importance of the paper to the field of health care quality
• Methodological rigor
• Appropriateness of conclusions
• Clarity of writing
The Prize is 500.00 GBP and a certificate which are presented to the winning author at ISQua’s International Conference. An Honourable Mention is also made during the proceedings of the Conference for the paper that was the runner-up.
