US, Canadian, New Zealand, Australian, UK, and Irish citizens do not need a visa for short visits of 90 days or less, a valid passport is sufficient. South African citizens must have a passport and a Schengen visa for travel to France.

EU members do not need a visa to enter France and may stay in France without limitation. Any visitors that live outside the EEA should hold onto travel tickets for proof of business and also proof of financial means.
